All you want to know about My Monday

Thanks to the Happy Homemaker, Saundra for an opportunity to think forward this week...

On my bedside table:
  • ooo, I have a couple of new book I haven't even picked up
  • trying to finish "Sacred Echo" so I can give it back to my Auntie when I see her in a couple of weeks
  • Bible and Journal and a few printed out E books I'm whittling through.
  • Not much reading time these sunny days. :)

On my TV
Last night we watched "Night at the Museum" with the boys. Fun family movies. I was impressed with the civil (divorced couple) and respectful relationships in the storyline.

On the menu for tonight:
Salmon, rice and artichokes

On my To Do List:
My self assigned project for the week is to plan the garden and start seedlings. I'm trying to figure out how to enclose the bottom of the tree house in sweet peas and flowers. :)
vacuum, tball pics, t ball practices, clean the house up after company, oh..I know there is more...

New Recipe I tried last week:
one night (Ralph was gone) I had a giant bowl of broccoli with Parmesan and bacon crumbles. Mmmm & I LOVE eating my spaghetti sauce over a bed of sauteed zuchinni. Mmmm, going to have leftovers for lunch!

In the craft basket:
Blankets are progressing, still. Yard work is crafty, right?

Looking forward to:
Summer!
Coos Bay and Newport trip
Maybe attending a Classical Conversations Practicum in June
Seeing a friend I haven't seen in awhile
Dating my husband

Homemaking Tip for this week:
The un-done housework won't bug you if you're outside. :) Oh! and I'm going to try planting seedlings in paper/cardboard egg cartons...then when it's time to plan maybe I'll just cut off the bottom and plant them inside. I'll let you know how it works.

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
That requires too much thought right now.

Favorite photo from last week:

Lesson learned the past few days:

Don't try to follow anyone else. Everyone should be going at their own pace...follow God. He knows where your path goes, and what your pace should be.

On my Prayer List:

some friends who are craving babies
a cousin who lost a friend
A friend who had an MRI
a mom who is in pain
a man who needs to find God in his pain
another man who is seeking direction
wisdom...as a mom

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:

As for God, his way is perfect. All the Lord's promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. 2 Samuel 22:31

I enjoyed reading your Happy Homemaker post. Your lesson learned is one that a veteran homeschooler told a group of us once - Run Your Own Race!

Reading this and many other friends posts makes me smile at the amazing ways that moms juggle so many things all with a heart to create the best families they can.

Way to go Amanda!!

So much about your post that I love...
My goodness so many things to pray about isn't there?

Loved your lesson, Amanda! Woudn't we all be so free if we stopped trying to follow other people ways, and just kept our eyes on the Father's way? So free! And the scripture you added is fantastic! That really refreshed my heart.. think I am going to go back and re-read it a couple of times..

Wonderful week ahead it looks like, and I love the idea of the sauteed zucchini with sauce on the top.. have to try that one!

Thanks for such a fresh breath of air... love reading your posts.. love your heart!

Hugs.. Amy

I had to laugh at your alone meal as when I am alone I always make green beans and tomatoes and eat the whole pan, out of the pan....smiles.

Sounds like we have a lot in common. I like to date my husband too - and we are trying to do it more often now that our kids are getting a bit older. I homeschool as well, and right now I am anxious for summer to get some more projects done. We are planning to go to a year round school schedule, though, so we'll see. I love broccoli too - there is a salad with bacon, raisins, sunflower seeds - OH YUM!

Have a great day!
