Our Hope Endures~ Natalie Grant

When I heard this song while running yesterday, I thought of you. You, my friends with empty arms, empty wombs, seemingly empty dreams. You who wait. You, my friends that have chronic pain and illness. You, my friends that go through one painful season after another. You, my friends that are in a restful, painless season. Take a minute and listen, read along with the words of this song. I don't mean for the video to be a distraction...hear the words. Be encouraged, my fellow race-runners. Be reminded, where our hope lays. Our hope endures.

You would think only
So much can go wrong
Calamity only strikes once
And you assume that this
One has suffered her share
Life will be kinder from here

[Chorus:]
Sometimes the sun
Stays hidden for years
Sometimes the sky
Rains night after night
When will it clear
But our hope endures
The worst of conditions
It's more than our optimism
Lend your
Our hope is unchanged

How do we comprehend
Peace within pain
Our joy at a good man's wake
Walk a mile with a woman
Whose body is torn
With illness
But she marches on

Emanuel, God is with us
El Shaddai, all sufficient

We never walk alone
This is our hope
Our hope endures
The worst of conditions
It's more
Than our optimism
Lend your
Lend your
Lend your
Our hope is unchanged

hi, amanda, i stumbled upon your blog quite by accident...i wrote the song and was checking something out online when I saw your post...thanks for your post regarding it...so beautiful and heartfelt. i had to write something bc your "identity" resonates so much with my own. :) (wisdom-seeker, homeschooler, etc.) anyway. thanks and peace to you. it's good and encouraging to find people like you making a difference in your world!
